I own an MKC 2015. My ipod nano used to play when I plugged it in. But it is not showing up at all. Could it be that the usb is defective or is there something I could do to help my sync find/recognize this usb? I'm due for service in a few months, I can take it then. I just wondered if there are any quick fixes?

Maybe it is the cord? Try plugging the nano into another device with the same cord to see if it finds it. I find often that the terminals and wires themselves lose connectability.
Also, you have of course tried both USB ports?

Yes, I've tried both ports. I've ordered a new cord and I will see if that does the trick. The cord I have is slightly damaged, however it works on my pc and laptops..so I am not sure. Thanks!
