Just an FYI to anyone new to the "keyless" system. I stopped at a highway rest area to just run in quick, and the wife decided to wait in the car. I habitually locked the car, and had the key-fob with me in my pocket. She decided to get out to stretch and the car alarm sounded the horn and flashed the lights. She couldn't stop it so just sat there embarrassed. It stopped in a few moments but she opened the door again and it repeated.
I didn't know it even had an alarm capability, and will leave the key-fob with her in the future, but just wanted to share this situation. Opening a locked door without the key-fob present will trigger an alarm.
