I am curious about an issue I am having with the seal on my windows. Whenever it rains or I take the car through a car wash, when I roll down/up my windows 2, 3, 4 days later, they are still wet. The service manager claims this is normal. I don't believe him. I have not had this issue on any vehicle I have ever owned, and I cannot imagine that having that much water sit inside there for days is doing any good. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Know anything about it????

It's a very close tolerance between the glass and seal, designed to isolate wind/road noise, but water will still accumulate between the glass and lining.....The channels are not designed to be "waterproof", maybe if you roll the windows down for a couple of hrs would help dry off the moisture in the channels ...

Usually, ( I have not checked on mine) but there are water exit holes at the bottom of the seals, usually to the front of the window and the rear....those usually channel water through the door and end up at the bottom where they hook up to weeper holes at the rear bottom of a door....most cars have these.....take a close look at your bottom channel, meaning the bottom channel at the base of your glass.

yup, me too. Terrible. water mark stains too. Never seen a car with that. After I took delivery I saw the stains and thought maybe the dealer had left windows slightly cracked while it sat on the lot and water got in but no it seems like others say...terrible window seals that hold the water in there :frown

Have not seen this issue on my 2015 MKC. If I roll the window down, I did notice the water on the outside of the window in the hour or so directly after washing the car. So I go to Dunkin Donuts drive thru before washing the car, not immediately after! :)
