Lincoln has confirmed that the MKS will be discontinued next year with a production version of the Continental concept that debuted in New York replacing it.

SO that means that you will likely be able to get a pretty nice discount on the MKS considering that sales have been pretty slow recently. In 2015 up to May, Lincoln has sold 3,304 MKSs. That's 19.1 percent less than the same period a year ago.

The new Continental will likely be built alongside the Fusion and Mustang in Flat Rock, Michigan.

If the new Conti is built with the Fusion and Mustang, it sounds like a mid size. So if they tank the MKS, they will be without a large sedan?

Limo companies are going to love this, couldn't be a better time to buy more of these if they're in need
That's very true. Limo and black cab companies will have a hay day.

How will the Continental be different from the MKS if both are mid sized sedans?

My guess is it would be a true flagship sedan, something that either can rival the S-Class. One thing for sure it will be much more premium than the MKS and hold the brand and its new flagship to a new standard.
