In the process of rejoining the Lincoln family, our MKC is supposed to be built the first week of October and delivered a few weeks later. The test drive of a '16 was quite impressive, just wasn't equipped with all the stuff she wanted so we ordered one.
We had a Town Car back in the '90's, and although we loved the ride, it seemed to be at the service department more than it was in the driveway. We traded up to a Maxima and never met the service manager at the new dealership.

Hope it works out for her. My in-laws have been Lincoln folks for years, with good success over several cars. My 2016 MKC is my first foray into Lincoln after many years in near-perfect-Subaru-land. I know that many people are "upset" that the MKC is based on the same platform as the Ford Escape, but I see a benefit. The Escape is receiving good reviews and has good reliability. OK, then Lincoln added a better exterior, better interior, better suspension, better sound deadening, stronger engine, and so much more. They started with a good base and made it better.

Based on your comments I expect Sport Mode will be her friend! I know I spend a decent amount of time there! I've had sport sedans and a Subaru WRX in the past. The MKC does OK for me. It isn't the fastest, or best handling, but it allows me to carry larger items and tow a reasonable amount when needed while having good ride, handling, and acceleration. The 2.3 seemed much more "eager" to run than the 2.0. Life is about compromises and the MKC fits the bill with functionality and performance for me and my family. My wife really wants one for herself as well...will probably happen sooner rather than later. I drove a BMW X1 the day before I bought my MKC and it didn't strike me as better, other than the Roundel. The A and B pillar were in uncomfortable places for me, making entrance and egress awkward. No such issues with the MKC.

OK, I'll stop my endorsement of the MKC, particularly as you already ordered, and end by wishing her well with the new MKC. In the end, it is just an automobile, made by fallible humans, so it may have some issues. Nothing is perfect. The sooner we all accept that "perfection" is a fleeting perception the sooner we will stop taking our Prozac.

Just looked at the ETIS site and see that the MKC was built on Monday, hope it's not one of the infamous "Monday cars" I have heard so much about.
