Thought it might be a good idea if we had a place for all the issues/quality complaints. I'm not saying there are or will be massive issues, but I think threads like this are valuable to potential shoppers...

A few things to keep an eye on. I saw these on showroom models so it could be early production issues.
1. Look under your front seat..the air duct is flimsy and may not be properly installed, comes out. It may be designed that way so it won't be damaged if kicked by back seat passengers.
2. a few particles of something in the paint
3. Observe the rear tailgate seam, on one,the passenger side, it had a rough area, like it may have been hit when the tailgate was installed and then touched up but the metal was not.
4. Drivers side , amber refelector around the front wheel was recessed below the level of the the trim piece..other side was flush which is correct.
5. Walking up to the vehicle the welcome mat and lighting did not come on even though the settings were correct. May have been something else, they did activate when pressing the unlock button.
6. Rear cargo pillar trim drivers side not installed correctly, gap between trim piece and roof headliner.
All minor but all the more reason they should not occur on a $40,000+ vehicle

I did not know where to post this message, but anyhow, the two fog lights ( the two led bar located where the fog light usually are ) turn on only at parking light position on the light control switch. The fog lamps are off at the autolamps position on the light control switch. Is it possible to have the fog light on on the autolamps position ?

By the way.....after 1700 km, i'm still very satisfied with my car.

That is strange, maybe they are just meant to be parking lights? So you're saying there's no separate fog lights switch and they aren't controlled at all in "auto"? I'm assuming it's the strip on the right side of this pic, and based on the location I would have thought they were fog lights.

I also think that they are fog lights...........at autolamps position, only the light pipes underneath the headlamps are on.........I think that the fog light should be on.............is it the same situation for you guys? ( I mean that only the light pipes is on at autolamps position )

I think you can control these lights mentioned in the vehicle setup (Lighting?), controlled by the left "buttons" on the steering wheel. They may be considered Daytime Running Lights, as I know the MKC does not have "fog" lights per se.

I just realized that I do not have that ''daytime light'' feature in
the vehicle setup.
This is very strange, since I have the auto highbeam feature and also
because my vehicule is pretty well equipped (2.3L, tech package...etc)

I guess this is a matter of regulation here in Canada.

Interesting how every car is different. My car uses the headlights as DRL's. I have no fogs.

Wife's car has a separate selector on the lighting stick so the headlights can be in auto and the fog lights can be turned on/off independent of that.

Is there any way you've found to turn these lights on while in auto via menu setting or otherwise? If not then they would really just be parking lights...
I believe they come on when car is in "drive".

1 ) After having experimented it on my MKC, I do confirm that the fog
lamps ( the two led bar located where the fog lamps usually are ) turn
on when the car is in drive position.

2 ) I think that I found out why I do not have access to that ''daytime light''
feature in the vehicle setup.

When this feature is off in the vehicle setup, no daytime light, light up,
however, in CANADA, at daytime, this is an obligation to have lights,
light on, in front of a motorized vehicle, therefore Lincoln has
desactivated this feature for CANADA.

Center console..seems it could have been better. The shift selector is gone but space is still poorly utilized. Don't like the armrest cover opening process, clunky very cheap Ford, rear seat access is limited, why not make it open from the back as well. No lighting for the ports that are inside the armrest box, rear port visibility is poor.
There is a light in the adequate sized glove box but many will miss the shelf tha'ts in the box.
Overhead handles..why put the lights behind the handles?
Compare the upcoming Nissan Murano console

Here it is officially;

Ford said it is recalling 1,274 Lincoln MKC SUVs from model year 2015 because there may be bubbles or other defects in the windshields. Air may have become trapped between the layers of glass during the windshield supplier's manufacturing process, which could lead to bubbles developing that could affect driver visibility, Ford said.
Ford said it is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to the issue. It will replace the windshield at no cost.
Affected are about 1,139 SUVs sold in the United States, 117 in Canada and 18 in Mexico

JasDmw, have you seen some official notice or are you referring to the Edmunds report? 2015 Lincoln MKC Recalled for Bubbles in Windshield | Edmunds.com Thx.

This came from a business newspaper on line version I follow.
I have the same issue with the welcome mat and lighting stopped coming on. It worked at first and noticed since last week it hasn't been coming on. I wasn't sure if there was a problem with the key as the car detects the key as you approach. I may have to make a call to Lincoln.
The MKC has 500+ miles on it and I have NO quality issues at this time. I do however have issues with the car. A $44.000.00 car with a turbo and it doesn't come with a oil pressure or oil temp gauge. That is just plain wrong with a turbo engine.. Also there is no under the hood light! Not a big fan of holding a lite with teeth. My cheapo Chevy truck has one and a oil pressure gauge, TOO ! Then there is the lack of tire monitors for each tire. ****, my neighbor's cheap disgusting KIA has one. It's easy to see the bean counters are still in charge here.

Oil pressure and temp gauges are pretty rare if even existent at all in cars aside from most pickup trucks or actual truck based SUV's (which are also nearly dead). I've had two turbo cars a 2001 VW Passat and currently have a 2012 Audi A4 and neither have those either. I honestly can't say any of my cars have ever had a light under the hood either, though I can see how that could be useful. Again I feel that may be more a truck like feature.

I will say the move toward not having tire pressure monitoring in each tire is an odd trend but seems to be that a few car companies have moved backward in that regard. My 2006 TL had tire info for each tire, yet new BMW's don't show the pressure which they got rid of as their older models had that. Same goes for my Audi and their earlier generation models told pressure in each tire.

I will say that Lexus still shows pressures as my mother's 2013 ES350 shows pressure in each tire.

I have around 700 miles on my baby and am also having welcome mat issues. It worked on the first day but I am not sure that it has worked since. I figure I will get them to look at it when I take it in for the first oil change but if someone has any answer to this mystery please let me know.

I do have one gripe...why the heck didn't they put an automatic close button on the hatch? I didn't need the hands free lift gate but for a high end car I should be able to at least close it with the push of a button.
The liftgste closes with:

The button on the liftgate
The foot swipe
The button on the dash
The key

It closes more ways than any other car I know of.
