Lincoln is continuing to increase its brand visibility this time through sponsorship of Fox's hit show Empire which will have its season 2 première on September 23rd. Lincoln also sponsored season 1 of Empire, and given the show's massive success, it appears they have been happy to do so again for season 2.
So what does this sponsorship actually entail?
Lincoln will be featured as a sponsor of the show both on and off air. This will include "a multi-platform off-air marketing partnership and digital and social extensions throughout 'Empire' Season 2.
The most prominent aspect of the sponsorship will be product placement. Expect to see Taraji P. Henson's character Cookie Lyon rolling up to building in a Lincoln luxury vehicle. Lincoln has pointed out that it is particularly excited to showcase its Revel sound system in a television show that is about music.
Viewers should be happy to know that the sponsorship allows Fox to run Empire in a "reduced commercial format."
