Hello all,
I am currently looking to buy an MKC and hope to pull the trigger soon. The loaded Ford Escape is right were I should be for price.... but is completely uninspiring. I absolutely love the exterior styling on the MKC. I am hoping to walk away with a killer deal on an AWD premier, and then add the tow hitch / wiring later.
Great forum, and very informative!

Welcome to the forum!!

In addition, I don't think the Escape is going to give you the smooth, quiet, and comfortable ride that you get in the MKC.

If what you're looking for is in stock, I'm sure you can score a killer deal on a '15.

I have the dealership down to $32,752 for a midnight sapphire premiere AWD. I think a can squeeze a little more out of the deal. I test drove an Escape again today just to see if my opinion has changed about them, and it is safe to say I will not be getting an Escape.
does anyone have a breakdown of A-Plan prices for 2015's and 2016's?

If you get cash back and 0% on top of that, that will be an excellent deal!!

IF I am remembering correctly, I think I read on this forum that A-Plan pricing was/is in the range of 9-10% off MSRP.

Go to the lincoln site - It will pop an additional $750.00 offer - May not be available if you are buying under a plan.

If I read this correctly, by clicking on "View The Original Sticker" your deal is approx. $16k off of sticker!!! By the way, it's FWD not AWD and I presume that is an important consideration since you live in Minnesota?

Dealerships can make good deals but the bottom line is that they make a profit on every car they sell. Don't believe it when they tell you otherwise. If they are giving you $16k off, and let's guess that it has 1,000 miles or less on it, that is one deal that is very hard to believe.

Sorry that I am skeptical, especially when it comes to car dealers. I would suggest that you check it out thoroughly. If it was part of the Date Night, then it really shouldn't have more then about 500 miles on it. But keep in mind it could also be a genuine used car that someone bought a year ago and thought it was a lemon, or got in an accident with it, etc. Also, I would ask when the build date was and if it's been over about 10 months I'd question why it's still around. And if everything passes your test (which I hope it does) , BUY IT, and ask if they have another with the same deal and let me know because then I'm flying to Minnesota!

So I looked up the VIN# and the vehicle build date is 6-24- of 2014. That is an old car:eek: ! That build date would put just about every Tsb on the list to check for.
I guess if nothing else, I have an excuse to go in and test drive some cars

Just to make you feel better, that's about the same build date as my MKC and I've only had 3 TSB issues repaired and my car is fine! If that car is a "Date Night" vehicle, I'll bet it was well cared for by the dealership! "Old car"?! It's still a 2015! Unless it's had the wheels driven off of it and the warranty has expired, it sounds like a great deal!

I went to the dealership this morning to take a look at the MKC, and yes it is beautiful inside and out, in pristine condition, and one heck of a deal. It is also unfortunately SOLD. Apparently a buyer from Texas called in last night and put money down on it and will be flying in Monday to pick it up. So, no killer deal for me but maybe we will have a new member from Texas soon!

R u sure they weren't baiting you LOL. Now that you're hooked they will gladly sell you one at the real price! Common practice or "tactic". As they say sometimes...if it seems too good to be true it's too good to be true.

But who knows, see what kind of pricing they give you on another one. Maybe they can come close to your price especially with getting rid of 2015s.

I think you may be right:frown regardless of the disappointment of not driving away with that particulate unit I did have a little fun haggling a price for a different one. I used the old, "this dealer can do this much... what about you?"
tactic. Anyways; to be continued!

I will update my info by Wednesday to reflect my NEW MKC purchase! It will be coming off a truck from another dealers lot soon. Final delivery will be fun since a member of my family that works with QC at the Louisville plant will be coming with me. White Platinum Metallic Tri-Coat dreams tonight for me!

I took delivery of my new MKC, and it looks absolutely stunning! I could not be more pleased with every piece of the car except the hood.
The hood had dirt in the paint on a few spots and has a claim going to Lincoln. The sales guy got a little worried that I stopped the entire process until my claim to Lincoln was submitted.
final price was right around $31,500 for a base model with AWD and the parts/labor to install a trailer hitch.

1,000 miles Into the "Lincoln experience" and I am still in love. The car goes in for paint to be fixed next week so we will see how the dealership does with repairs to the white Pearl. I am making contact with an old friend who can get Ford/ Lincoln parts for cheaper than retail.... Hopefully we can get the forum a cool hook up on parts.
