McConaughey's original set of ads were somewhere between philosophical and perplexing. One thing is for sure though -- they made you think, and they made you remember.
Those ads not only got quite a bit of attention themselves, they also inspired a number of spoofs by the likes of Ellen DeGeneres, Jim Carrey and Conan.
The new ads will be a bit different according to Lincoln marketing manager John Emmert.
Keep you r eyes out for the new ads as they will debut September 12th. One of the many places you'll be able to catch them are during the breaks in NFL games.There’s a different tone this time, however, as John Emmert, group marketing manager for the automaker, told the source “they are not as introspective. They dial up the swagger factor.”
