Good evening
I own a 2017 MKC Black Label with 25 K on her.
Nice automobile.

For the last month or so, I experience a mechanical "clunk" coming from what seems like the left front wheel area when I drive over a hole in the road.
And it happens almost every time I take her out.

I know what it sounds like when a strut bottoms out and this is not THAT sound.

Has anyone else experienced such a thing ?

The steering seems tight enough and there isn't any play in the wheel.
AND, there doesn't seem to be any unusual wear on the tires.

Thanks for any replies

I had the same suspension problem. I'm not going to type the whole thing out again... just find my old post about it.
In short: I had to get an employee to sit in the passenger seat to hear it. I did not get the noise on every pothole but it could reproduce every time if I got a pop/clunk the first time going over it. I suggest driving around your dealership and find a pothole that can induce the noise and then do a test drive for the employee. FYI: both side had the problem but rarely was there a pot whole on the left side (for me). They repaired both sides.
I think some o-ring cushion part was put in backwards or just plain defective. They replaced the whole thing. Noise was gone but at times I wonder if it is creeping back.
