Hello all .... I'm in Punta Gorda, Florida .... along the Gulf .... plenty of sun and sand...!

Just picked my '19 MKC Reserve up 4 weeks ago ... I rolled out of my last lease, '16 MKZ Reserve Hybrid (very, very troubled car) Luxe color.

I have to ask.....YOu had a "troubled" Lincoln and leased another? I guess Lincoln has great leases. though the residual is high for the car. IM leasing my first and last Lincoln.

Yes troubled. The review of my new lease choices did not put the MKC #1 but +$150 less put me in an MKC. Certainly, not shabby by any means.

I am interested in the long heat-up of front seat heater issues.

Yes, "money talks and bull-**** walks". Currently Lincoln seems to be dishing out big factory $ to get it's vehicles out into the public. No other products I viewed like Volvo, Acura, Toyota and Honda are doing the same because their products have been in demand.

Since you appear to not like your current Lincoln, why not sell the lease and be a happy camper?

By the way, that was somewhat of an interesting "welcome to the forum" you sent ....

welcome to the forum
I was scratching my head (too). Some people have so much trouble with their vehicle they never return to the manufacturer. Chrysler comes to mind with several people I know.
I am curious what problems you had with the 2016... was it the hybrid part?

Buckeye .... thank you for the welcome .....

No, there was no Hybrid system issues .... all starting battery issues, remote start, HVAC, HVAC, HVAC.... the local senior tech knew me by name ...

Oh, one hybrid issue, EPA mileage for the '16 MKZ was about 40 mpg .... my previous Avalon Hybrid gave me true 38-40 mpg and fine exceleration ... the MKZ hybrid, using hand calc for every tank full, was usually 31-34 mpg and rarely in 35 mpg range. Living in flat Fl and knowing it was somewhat a performance dog, I tried to drive as efficiently as possible.

....thanks for the inquiry.

My lease ends in June and I won't be leasing another Lincoln either. I came very close to going with another MKC but after a lot of thought and trying out a lot of other vehicles I have decided to lease a 2019 Volvo XC60. I took a 2019 MKC for a test drive on Mon. and the ride was not smooth..even the salesman noticed. I don't want to have another MKC with loads of problems like my current MKC had. One thing which was a big disappointment to learn was that the current wholesale value of the MKC is about $6,000 less than the residual value when the lease ends. None of the other car dealers even want to take the lease in on a trade which is why I am not getting the Volvo until my lease ends.

How right you are Country Guy for choosing the XC60 .... that was my first choice ... so much more tech that works in the XC60 .... Notice the thickness of the doors ... ask about the seat tech in an accident scenario.... that's why Volvo has little if any factory $$$ to offer and Lincoln is giving significant cast and lease support $$.

But my retirement budget would not stretch the extra +$150 for the Volvo. We've owned Volvo before and they are fine automobiles ... now with Thor's Hammer (!) headlights, it's a real machine ...

Thanks for your response,
Radman
