How many MKCs have you seen :nerd in the wild (outside of dealerships) besides yours? What area/region, color, etc.

I've seen 4 in North Jax, FL: 1 White Platinum, 2 Midnight Sapphire, all weeks ago & 1 Tuxedo Black (today). I don't know the engine size of any nor if they were AWD or FWD. I've seen none with mods/accessories that I noticed.

I have been shopping for a car for over a year and one of the first cars I test drove was the MKC in July of 2014. I finally bought one last month and in all that time I have yet to see one on the road. I live for 6 months in the Wash. DC, MD VA area and 6 months in the Tampa area. I am very aware of my surroundings and can pick out models of cars that are a good distance from me....how is it that I have still not seen one MKC on the road over the past 12 months?

That is very interesting and surprising given you lived in 2 major metro areas along with the long time period. This is why I submitted this post to find what others are seeing and kind of gauge the MKCs presence.

On Friday I spotted #5 within a 40 mile radius of me and today I saw #6 . That's pretty darn good for a rural area in the midwest. Of course we have 4 Lincoln dealerships within a 50 mile radius which probably helps.
Equally interesting as well. The fact there are so many Lincoln dealerships within so a close area. I live in Metro Jax and the next closest sole Lincoln/non-Ford dealership to my servicing 1 is over 100 miles away. There are only 3 Ford/Lincoln dealerships within a 50 mile radius of me.

Actually seeing a lot now after purchasing in December. Live in the tri-state area (or quad state really, NY-NJ-PA-CT). Interestingly the place I have seen the most is at my vacation home which filters a lot of people from NY Philadelphia and amazingly Canada. Saw one with Canadian plates. I go every weekend and I have spotted no less than 3 every weekend since 4th of July. It's a small 6 mile island and there are three local owners(we do a lot of biking so we know where they "live" and are the same ones). The others we see are visitors and they have all been either black, white, or red. Mostly 2.0s. My guess is with the cheap lease deals on the base models they are getting more out.

Ironically where I live is close to NYC and heavily populated and I only saw 1 in my first six months. Now I've seen 4 including a karat gold one by my husbands work.

As the dealers move the 2015s off their lots with deals we should be seeing more too.

I added a poll also. It has a multiple choice option for those that have spotted multiple ones. So feel free and by all means do so click. :D

We have only seen one MKC off a lot in the past year of driving in Oregon and Northern California, a black one like ours. That included an one week of driving in the San Francisco bay area.

At the time of purchase of our MKC in March 2015, there were only 17 MKCs on lots in the entire state of Oregon, so low availability likely contributes to the low numbers observed on the road. There are few Lincolns in the state of any model, but most often one sees Town Cars and Navigators.

My experience is probably inflated compared to some because I live in a Vacation area - Sandusky ,Oh is close to the Lake Erie Islands, has two Indoor Water Parks and then Cedar Point (Amusement Park) so there's a draw of travelers from surrounding areas and states. I've seen almost every color with the exception of the Dark gray and I can't think of the name - as far MKCs I 'm sure are from the area including mine, there are three Silver Sands, neither have the 19 " wheels like I do (thankfully, there's a bit of a difference), two white MKC's that live within two blocks of me, and at least three black MKC s(I know they are different because they have different wheels) so in my area - you see a good mix on the road and have some here all the time

Purchased my MKC in Rochester; just moved to a suburb of Buffalo. Didn't see any MKCs for quite some time after my August delivery last year; in the past few months I am seeing more and more. Surprising in that there is only 1 Lincoln dealer in Rochester, and only 2 in Buffalo. I have seen two "twins" to mine (Ruby Red), several silver sands and several whites. Intermingled have been a karat gold, Tahitian pearl, and a black one as well. Probably more too, but that's what comes off the top of my head at the moment (and I just saw another white one last night!).

I just noticed the mayor of our town has one (our neighbor just up the street) in Silver Sand just like mine. I have seen a few others around NE Ohio, including a couple of black ones. Seeing few doesn't bother me, as I prefer to have something a little different from the others. Fritz

Anyone see a black label? I know there are two on this forum (TX and VA). Think they said the "c" in MKC is black? Would that be the only distinction besides the colors that would indicate it's a black label vehicle? They should really do something a little more do people know more instantly it's black label.

Hmm?! Very good questions. I'm going to ask a concierge is there an exterior distinction that indicates a black label.

The Black Labels that I've seen (MKC's & MKZ's) have the grille blacked out (glossy, not matte), different wheels from the regular trims and the "C" or "Z" blacked out in the nameplate on the rear.

To follow up on my post from 10 days ago, still have not seen one MKC on the road. In the summer I live in MD just outside of DC and within a 40 mile radius there are around 7 Lincoln dealerships. In the winter I live outside Tampa where within that same 40 mile radius there are about 8 dealerships, so either I'm blind to the MKC's driving by (not likely) or they are just not big sellers here. However, I do see plenty of Lincoln's 4 door car - I believe it's the MKZ.

I believe they changed up the grill color to black out for the 2016 models. My 2015 Black Label has the chrome color.

The other exterior distinctions as noted is the blacked 'C' on the back MKC and the exclusive exterior paint. I LOVE my Notorious Blue and thinking about having my brake calipers painted Red or Yellow. Any thoughts?

Also, the standard wheels are different between the trims. See my garage pics.

On the interior there are the Themes with higher end materials.
One little difference some may not know is the Sync screen on the center stack shows the 'Black Label' logo during the power on and off.

Nice, take a picture and post if you can. I knew about the colors and materials/themes. The grille is new for 2016 like you said. 2015 don't show it.

Yeah, Lincoln finally has 2016 black label out on website! Check it out!
