I bought my MKC on 06/23/2015 from the dealer in Barrie, ON as there is no Lincoln dealer here in North Bay, ON. There is a Ford dealer here however. I am not happy with Lincoln right now in that in order to take advantage of the 2 year prepaid maintenance, I have to take the car back to a Lincoln dealer (2 hours away). They will not let Ford do the prepaid maintenance however if I have a warranty issue then the Ford dealer here can do the repair. They have given me all the explanations and run around as to why this is but the end result is that I am not able to take advantage of this service unless I drive 2 hours each way to the Lincoln dealer which is going to cost me time and money for gas, etc. This is not customer service in my book.

BTW, my MKC is white platinum with tan interior, 2.3 litre AWD and includes the optional 20" wheels, and the technology and climate packages.

Hey CountryGuy, Here in Central Indiana (Indianapolis) I have been taking my 2015 MKC to a nearby, trustworthy Ford dealership from day one! In fact, when recently having bodywork done (don't ask!), the dealership even did the outstanding TSM items including the moving of the start-stop button! My Lincoln dealership is 35 miles one way and not my favorite place! Unless the warranty is affected by you being in Canada, I'd press the issue very hard. By the way, I just took it back to the Ford dealership for more repairs - a second rear-end collision! You'd think that a white car with bright red tail lights would be easy to see! Let me know how it turns out for you!

I have been in contact with the Lincoln dealer, the local Ford dealership (they said there hands are tied...they would welcome doing the service but Lincoln won't reimburse them for it), Lincoln customer service (I have called several times) and I even escalated the issue and wrote a letter to Lincoln, all to no avail. They refuse to budge on the issue. They did note that they have had many complaints about this from customers but just keep telling me that they will notify the appropriate people about the issue and maybe it will get changed some day. They said it is in order to keep the customer coming back to Lincoln for service. That's fine if you live close to the Lincoln dealer but when you are hours away, it is nothing but an inconvenience.
What's the issue with the start/stop button? why is it being moved? Is yours above or below the PRNDS? Mine is at the top.

Maybe Canada is tougher on the Ford dealers ability to do Lincoln work. My nearest Lincoln dealers are an hour away each, but my in-town Ford dealer was able to do the free oil change. But I have not tried to do a seat heater TSB or anything.

Your Start Stop button on top is the proper, current setup. No worries.

Lincoln told me that if I require any warranty work, then the local Ford dealer can do it...they just cannot do the prepaid maintenance. It really is an illogical answer. They can do warranty work which could be complicated and expensive but yet they can't do a simple oil change and get reimbursed by Lincoln? Lincoln is just being pigheaded

Oh I wasn't worried about the Start/Stop button...just curious as to why I have seen it in the 2 positions...thought maybe it was different due to Canada/U.S. vehicles.

I too did not like my Lincoln dealer. I currently take my vehicle to my local Ford dealer from day one. I have had all the tsb's done with great success. Just recently I have had my oil changed, new wipers and the air filter replaced under warranty. There was one exception they would not honor if I wanted warranty work done. That was Lincoln required that after any type of service the vehicle was to be washed and vacuumed. They would not service my car if I wanted this done since they would my get paided from Lincoln for the wash. I said skip both and service my car. I have been happy with each visit. You might want and try that, and mention that to the dealer because that might be holding up the service. Also my lug nut wrench does not fit on the lug nuts on the tires. A second wrench was ordered and that one will not fit. The dealer has just ordered all new lug nuts for the tires. They said the the lug nuts have been swelling causing the wrench not to fit. I have Lincoln involved with this, will see what happens.

my car is back at the dealer again and one of the things wrong is the swollen lug nuts. Never had that.
Mine had the wheels refinished over the summer and they thought it had something to do with that but I don't think so.
I should find out for sure today. They ordered new ones to replace but I'm still curious why this happened to mine after 9 months.

It isn't the Lincoln dealer that I am not happy with....it is Lincoln itself since they will not allow any Ford dealer to do the prepaid maintenance. The local Ford dealer would be more than happy to do the service but Lincoln will not reimburse them so I would have to pay for it. Thus the supposedly benefit of 2 years prepaid maintenance is not a benefit to me at all unless I drive 2 hours to the closest Lincoln dealer.

I was reading the posts about swollen lug nuts. Are they not made of steel? How can they swell?

Countryguy, from what the dealer told me yesterday is that the lug nuts are made of steel. But Lincoln then encases that with like a plastic outside coating. When water gets in between the lug nut and the plastic coating it does not drain and starts to expand. I do not see what ordering new lug nuts will accomplish. Lincoln called me today and they told me the dealer ordered new lug nuts which I already knew. I will let you know what happens after they come in.

I had read an aluminum casing on the lug nuts. Ford fusions had a recall years back for the exact same thing. I would think plastic would snap off when a wrench was used on it.

My dealer thinks it has something to do with refinishing my wheels (? Yeah, that's what I thought) but it's more than likely cheap lug nuts. Or the car has been exposed to a lot of water (to get under caps and cause them to swell). There are two of us now, wonder how many others don't know (until they go to change their tire-surprise!).

Same solution for me is to give me new ones(lug nuts)now I'm going to have to check them all the time..
