Well, I guess I've now covered the entire spectrum of Ford Motor Company brands (in the US). I learned to drive in a Ford Mustang and an F-150, Drove both of those on and off for a couple years (they were my parent's cars), then I got a Mercury Capri (the Mustang's red-headed step sister) as my first car. Shortly after that I switched to Chevy, then Toyota, and honestly didn't expect I'd ever go back to anything from FoMoCo. Both of those moves seemed to be great improvements in pretty much every way.
Last November my insurance company decided to total out my Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited instead of repair it. (It was worth more to them as parts than it would cost to fix the damage, so they made me a very nice offer.) So I spent black friday car shopping and ended up getting an MKC that had been sitting on the lot for a few weeks. The ONLY reason I went there was because the wife insisted I try the Escape, which a few of her girlfirends just raved about. But I walked into the dealership, saw the MKC and, well, the rest is history. :grin
It's the Reserve model with the 2.3L engine, Midnight Saphire paint, pano roof, black interior (ugh, would not have chosen that myself) and tech package.
I'm a few months into ownership so far.... there's a lot to love about this car, but also a few things that are driving me insane.
