Hey everyone, new to the group but I've had my 2018 MKC for a year in April. So far so good with my 2.3 Reserve in Rhapsody Blue, 19" wheels, and THX system. We're adding a 2019 2.0 Select to the family for my wife next month as well. She didn't want all of the bells and whistles, just the climate package.

What are your thoughts on the 2.0? Is it quiet and good around town?
I am 72 years old, my old muscle cars days are behind me....
Having said that, this little car with the 2.0 (250 HP) is more than sufficient for me .
It will leave many competitors sitting at a red light.
and,
it is great for just running around town, snappy, and doesn't guzzle gas.I am averaging 27 mpg all around driving .
It likes 89 octane the best.:|

Is it the quietest engine out there? No, it is not. It has a little rattle, chatter, whiny noise when idling...unlike some of the Japanese cars and German cars, which are very quiet, but it's not attention getting, and when cruising it's very quiet.

It will growl deeply when punched .:smile( It will burn a lot of rubber if you want to)

I couldn't ask for any more.

Thank you for your honest reply. The outgoing car is a Mazda CX-5 and quite frankly, it’s not a quiet engine, so I think she’ll be just fine.
