So I was playing around with the paddle shifters and notice that you can manually shift gears in the drive mode it seems to let you do so for awhile and if you don't shift it returns to normal driving mode. So not only paddles can be used in the S mode you can use this for a brief time in the D mode, just for when you want to pass another car and not have to press hard on the accelerator for it to down shift

....Or engine brake, or a lower gear....and if you do nothing, it defaults to full auto shifts, yeah luv it....but the real fun begins when you're in "S" mode...the MKC becomes a whole new animal in S with paddle shifting!
