Question: my power knob for turning on the radio lights up around the edge of the knob whereas the tune knob does not. Wasn't sure if this meant that the lighting feature for tune knob was broken or if the tune knob wasn't meant to light up like the power knob does?

If the tune know does not light up.....it means the engine is about to self destruct in 24 hrs! LOL never noticed the diff.....I'll check mine and report back!

If someone could snap and post a pick of how the two buttons are supposed to light up I'd much appreciate it. Just want to avoid having to take a trip to the dealer for a fix if I don't have to.

So, comparing yours to the photo I posted, are both knobs supposed to look like the power/volume knob, or are both knobs supposed to look like the tune knob? Or is it neither and both knobs are messed up?

A photo of the way they are supposed to look in the dark would be much appreciated!

They should look like the volume knob...at the same intensity.

Here's how mine look at night...not sure why the Vol. knob in your pic looks so bright around the edge, NealDC. Did you use a flash when you took that picture; or is the Vol. knob surround always that bright? If so, I wonder if the knob is missing part of its covering or something...

NealDC - I'm glad you mentioned this - I noticed the tuner knob looked darker the other night but thought maybe, just maybe it was the angle from the drivers seat that made it look that way, then Sunday night I had to take my brother to the airport so I left him drive and I sat in passenger seat- it is darker - or just not working - I take mine in to the dealer for the Modem replacement next Wednesday (unless they cancel the appointment for not getting the part) they might as well fix this while it's there.

Thanks for the posting the pics. That helped a lot! It seems that comparing my pic to yours, that my volume/power knob is pushed in and the light, therefore, shines out of the console and around the knob. I am taking it in to the dealer on Saturday to see what they can do.
