Purple ambient lighting color

Mine does the same thing. When I select Purple it is more of a violet/pinkish color. IMO it does not look near a true purple color. Even when I adjust the slider setting it does not help any. I notice this is the same when selecting Orange it comes out as more Yellow.
I wonder if this can be adjusted by a local dealer.....otherwise I'd probably stick with my blues........

Ok, I get the same color you describe. I asked my salesman today who said he thinks he knows what it is. Unfortunately, I didn't get to get it checked out. I'm going to see if the manual gives any details then go from there. I appreciate the reply and knowing it's not just mine or that I'm color blind.

Let me know what you find out or if your dealer knows a fix! It is a little annoying to me especially since we all paid a lot for the car. If this is the worst problem we all have in the long run, I know for one, that I will be a very happy customer. Sure, we'd like true purple ambient lighting (my wife's fav color), but in the long run I'd rather have a reliable engine and transmission and electrical system.

So true!!Amen golferman. But I guess its a good thing when all you have to complain about is the shade of a color of the ambient lighting..I see that as positive
We generally keep our cars for years. Our MKC replaced the wife's 2000 Lexus RX300. All we really want is a car that is fairly worry free for the long term. Purchasing a first year production model was a huge risk, but the wife had been looking for over two years and when she saw and drove the MKC, she knew she had found her RX's replacement.

I agree and *knocks on wood* hope that I and everyone else do not run into any major issues as you stated.
We put a lot of our hard earned money into these luxury vehicles so I have high expectations. Who wouldn't want every piece big and small to work as expected?

I concur with TRU_BLU! This is not a matter of complaining but sharing and comparing information. Even if it were a complaint that would be my right to complain without it being judged as being severe enough or not to another person. I, for 1, expect things to work as they should rather I'm paying $5 or near $50K.

Sorry, didn't mean to use the word "complaint" :smile Lets just say issues! But again it was meant as a positive and let me rephrase.. "If all we have to worry about is...." then I am a happy camper!
And of course everyone has the right to expect what they want to expect when they spend $50K on a vehicle, and I agree EVERYTHING should work correctly on the your vehicle, its what they advertised and what you paid for.

Well the results are in...apparently Lincoln's idea of ambient purple is pink or light violet. I had the service completed & was told it was reprogrammed and checked only to find no change when selecting the purple icon.
I do plan on asking a concierge. The assistant svc manager and I compared the same in another MKC to find it was exactly the same. I was soooo hoping for a distinguishable difference and getting purple.

From what I noticed is the light being projected from the source and is not affected by the color surface being surrounded by.
For example, my cup holders are all black and the light source is enclosed within them. My side doors storage wells are all white and the light source is enclosed with it.
Both areas project the same Pinkish color when Purple is selected.
So it is either a programming issue or a true purple color is not physically installed in the system.
It is unfortunately the re-programming from the OP did not fix it. I may still have my dealer give it a shot but it sounds like the MKC is stuck with the off color options than advertised.
