My Apartment Complex want's me to put a Parking Permit Decal on the back window,I am not comfortable putting it over the rear defroster,even though others in the building put it on there's.
Also If i ever move it will destroy the rear defroster scrapping it off.
Also it can't be seen through the Tinted Back Window.
I told the office that & they said put it on anyhow.
What would you do ?

How about those Command picture hanger things? They are supposed to pull off when you want to take the picture down. We moved into a condo that had the Command hangers in place for years and they ripped off the paint when we removed them. So if you tried the Command things, I would be inclined to change them every few months. Either that or a little Silly Putty.

How could you use that with a stick on decal ?
It has to be on the inside facing out.

Just put the Command picture hanger on the inside window, and have a hole punched in your decal to hang onto the picture hanger, and face it toward the street side. Someone will have to really peer into the window to see it with the window tinting, but it should comply with strata wanting a permit in the rear window. PS you aren't going to peal the decal off as your normally would--just hang the whole thing from the Command hanger. Worth a try imo.

Won't the mounted hanger be facing the inside ?
What happens when i lift the Hatch ?

You have to get a little creative. Yes, the hook will face inside, but no problem. Just have your hole made in the decal and face the decal toward the window. Use a little thread or something to tighten around the the Command hook once you hang the decal to keep in on the hook when you open and close the hatch. How big is the decal? Won't it just fit in a corner where there is no heat line/coil?

You are welcome. I did search the internet to see if anyone had any bright ideas. None found. Most people just go ahead and put the decal on, and it seems the decal doesn't last long due to the heat i.e. it peels off. I think my idea is worth a try, but who knows how the heat will affect the Command hanger. Your apt. strata sounds a bit controlling eh? We just sold our townhouse and moved to a single family house due to a controlling strata. Ugh.

I see alot of cars in the parking lot with stickers on the defrost grid.
Maybe they never turn them on.
Still won't see it through Tinted window.
I might skip it, everyone here knows me anyhow so why do i need it ?????????

How about that Velcro stick-on material?...you could cut small piece(s) and mount so not on the defogger grid.
