2017 Lincoln MKC. My rear hatch seems to be out of alignment. It hits hard at the bottom and pops back open when it tries to close. I end up having to push it closed by hand. You can hear it hitting and rubbing. It has gradually gotten worse over the last few months. I called my local Lincoln dealer and both the service manager and the parts department told me my issue is most likely the liftgate struts, specifically the one with the motor on it. Has anyone else encountered this being the problem and if so did struts fix it?
