OK, so if you read my posts in the other thread about me not being able to set my remote start schedule (which BTW worked flawlessly from last December up until the middle of this September)

For 5 days I had it set up at 8am Mon-Fri. It never started. After I got back from dropping my son off at school I would test by just setting up another time and it worked. So I'm baffled and think OK, it doesn't like 8am for some reason.

So last night I set one up for 7:55am Mon-Fri, aha trick the APP! And no go this morning. Has anyone caught the problem yet?

My app will not allow me to setup a Mon-Fri schedule. If I just setup a time for that day (which I was doing quickly just for that test) it starts just fine. If I select particular day it won't work! WT.....

Well I might as well just manually remote start at 8 am, which defeats my whole purpose of setting and forgetting as I'm rushing to get my son out the door and on to school on time.

Would anyone else like to test this out for me please? Anyone out there have a selected day schedule that is working?

My schedule just won't work. Again this morning nothing happened at the time I had set up this morning. I just went through the exact same procedure and set up 8:20m schedule right after the 8am failed. And that one worked! Why if I set it the night before now it seems to not work. If I set it up the day of it seems to work. I'm not dumb, I've set this up before. Why can't I get it to work, what could possibly be wrong? I'm going crazy with this, anyone have any ideas?

Realize Im answering myself but kmcart can you try something..

What it seems now after a lot of testing is that my remote feature (schedule or NOT) does not work after my car sits for a period! This morning after the schedule didn't go I tried manually and it did not work although I know it worked previously. My son had off from school for Columbus day today and I never drove the car after remote start failure as I had been doing every other day. And everything scheduled or manual failed all morning.

So I had an idea after the weird battery problems and still the on going message about my battery to start my car and run it a minute, then try. I pulled the car out of garage and let it run about 1 minute and shut it off. Waited another minute then sent a schedule that worked and then did a manual that worked.

So like Rayo weird things starting to happen when the car sits for even short periods AND that battery message, I'm getting scared...god help me if this is more trips to the dealer.. I seriously doubt this is an app issue. :-(

Not sure what you're asking me to do, but don't know if I can help you at the moment...since I downloaded the latest update to the app a few days ago, it now will not work from inside my house. Using the app to remote start will work if I'm somewhere else (out running errands, etc.) - I've not tried a scheduled start when not at home, just an immediate start. But, as I said several posts ago, my house (built in early 1930's) is notorious for interfering with cellular signals. Must be something in the original construction or in some renovations we've done since.

I'm guessing there's still some bugginess in this latest app release....similar to what seems to happen frequently with other apps when new versioning is pushed out. We should probably report it to Ford's In-Vehicle Tech team.

Mine is so weird. It almost seems to be timing out on the vehicle side. Or going into a sleep mode. Km if you can set up remote start schedule for Monday through Friday for your car to start around 8am. Do it the night before or when you know your car may sit in your garage for 8 hours or so without you starting it similar to what's happening with me. I just set up the schedule again. I set up a test schedule for 5 minutes after I opened the app tonight (ie it's 9:45 pm now, I opened app and set it to go off mon-fri at 9:50pm) and it just worked. Sending manual starts, stops, locks, and unlocks are working right now too. I'm going to be putting down my phone and going to sleep. My schedule is set to go off tomorrow morning at 7:55am. What's happening is that it seems after an overnight of not starting and/or directly "communicating" with the vehicle in some way that the remote features no longer work. Not only the schedule (which means my car wil never start tomorrow morning) but also if I try to send a direct start or lock/unlock it fails. I now see the app finally has a notification (yay Lincoln) on success or failure of remote sends -mine obviously pops up red on the bottom strip (which I cannot see the menu all the way on my iPhone 6plus still -where parking minder and refresh are).

After my car fails to start we get in and I start it regularly and drive my son to school. After its started and driven then the app seems to work again and I'm able to send directly or set up a remote schedule within the next hour (I'm not sure how long I could set the remote schedule for with it still working -again almost like a "time-out" setting?). This is on top of my car still strangely reporting a battery voltage problem. I'm not so sure it's the app. I'd like to believe it is so I don't have to take my car back into the dealer :) but I don't know...

I will see if the exact same thing happens again tomorrow morning then call Lincoln tech AGAIN ... Been putting that off too, it's been too nice weather wise here to sit troubleshooting with Lincoln some more, I've put a lot of time in already LOL.

Didn't work again this morning but at least I got a notification saying the remote start was disabled. So it's disabling itself overnight...
Kind of like how my power active mode kept disabling itself from the battery problem....

I'll give Lincoln a call later km and tell you what they say about battery message.

Yes. As I said yesterday, unfortunately I cannot test it in my driveway in the mornings since I don't seem to be getting a strong enough cellular signal from inside my house (have tried a microcell in the past, etc.). If I'm out somewhere for any length of time, I'll try to remember to do a test...however, the car will not have sitting for a long period of time such as overnight, etc.

Again, I'm assuming something is hanging up in the app's software after the latest update last week because, once I switched cell providers in Aug., it was working from inside my house. It was just after I downloaded the update recently that it became problematic again...either that, or it's an issue with my phone itself.

km my remote start scheduling and remote features have worked flawlessly on both apps dating back to last year when I bought the car.

None of my battery messages, power active problems or remote features went crazy until the battery stuff started this summer.

And it works(or doesn't work) in the same fashion from an old phone with the old app...which NEVER was buggy for me and always worked all last winter and spring (stopped using remote start at end of spring)

Still leaning toward possible problem with car itself after weeks of testing. I'm hoping not. We will see what lincoln tech says I'm about to call them shortly...

Well after many transfers and holds (even though they supposedly gave me direct line-still routes me through the same people LOL) I finally got to the tech I've been working with. When I started to describe and ask her if there was a "time-out" or sleep settings she said that another engineer was working with someone else on what seems to be what I'm describing! Yay. I'm not the only one. She tried to put me on hold and speak with them but they were going to be in a call for awhile. Said since now it seems another problem with app (yay no trip to the dealer) since I was second one to report and they will escalate and get back to me. Do they ever consider that if it's only a handful of people (with that problem) that maybe it IS something on our cars? I wonder if the tech departments communicate with service departments or have access to known car problems and cross check that..I would assume so that the tech/software department doesn't spin their wheels on a car issue....

The battery problem is also still a persistent problem - for what seems to be a fairly long time now...I asked about a time frame for a fix and was told the usual we are working on it and will get back to affected customers when there is a fix. So far we are going on 6 months for some affected users. If our battery does actually get low I guess we'll never know the difference and end up getting stuck thinking "just the app update, battery's not really low..." I better not find myself stuck with a dead battery anywhere.. :).

I'd go back to my old app but the battery message and time out problem suddenly popped up there after 8 months of flawless use. Why did Lincoln have to break everything right before the cold weather starts LOL.

Well, hang in there. At least they are aware and are working on it. As I said before, it took awhile for the Sirius fix, but it eventually happened. As far as communication, I was very impressed when I was invited to that owners clinic in June the depth and amount of communication and concern the engineers had with us owners over every little detail we wanted to talk about. And my Service Mgr. at my dealer told me they (Service Mgrs.) too were invited down the day before the owners to sync up their issues and experiences with the engineers. I'm encouraged by that level of cooperation and communication.

Oh goodness I hope it's not a year before the fix like Sirius because that would have it fixed in spring, right when I DON'T need the remote start schedule to work anymore :). I think they need to start considering most folks are moving into the cold winter months pretty much now in the north (and don't discount those who use it to cool their cars in the south) and need to get this fixed fairly soon. This feature was one of if not the most compelling things in my decision to buy the car, no one else had a scheduled remote start like this. Mercedes has a similar app with mbrace but to my knowledge you can only start and stop engine manually, you cannot set a recurring schedule.. Unless they have updated that now.

Really hope this doesn't take as long as Sirius..
