I have an early 2015 MKC all wheel drive, but cannot figure out how to set the ride control. Can anyone give me some guidance in about 8th grade level? I know the car will shift into S (Sport) and performs even better than expected, but the ride control is what I would like to tinker with and set to my liking.

I don't even know where to start and see no buttons on the dash to do this.

Hoping for some help. Thanks,

FRITZ

Fritz, the procedure is listed on pages 227-228 of the owners manual. It's easy to do and takes only a few seconds to make changes.

Using Lincoln Drive Control
You can configure which of the Drive Control modes are active when your vehicle is in Drive (D) or in Sport (S). The configuration remains active until modified from the main menu on the information display.

To change your vehicle’s Drive Control settings from the main menu on the information display:
1. Choose Settings.
2. Choose Vehicle.
3. Choose Drive Control.
4. Select the shift position you would like to configure, either D or S.
5. Choose from Comfort, Normal, or Sport modes as your preferred setting in D.
6. Choose from Normal or Sport modes as your preferred setting in S.
Settings in S:
• Handling in S - The suspension stiffens, with an emphasis on handling and control.
• Performance in S - The engine responds more directly to your inputs and takes on a more powerful tone.

By the way, beautiful car!
Best,
Lee

Thanks - I must have missed this in the manual, as there is a lot of reading there. I will pull out my manual and along with your very detailed instructions, will do a little experimenting tomorrow. THANKS, Fritz

I posted the attached picture on the Introduction section the other day, but will repeat it here. This is my 1958 Continental with 430 cu inch engine and 50,000 original miles. It has a nice soft ride, but the gas mileage doesn't compare with my MKC.

I just checked the above and guess what? At Step 2 (Choose Vehicle), I do NOT have the option to "Choose Drive Control". Here are pictures of my screens. I ordered this car early and it just might be possible that an early MKC did not have this option ??

My 2015 MKC AWD had a delivery date of 8/16/14. The car had the original first shift control which was replaced under the recall. Car has the 2.3L engine and AWD. It runs great, rides great, but where is the "Choose Ride Control" option under Choose Settings/Choose Vehicle/Choose Ride Control?

See pictures of screen taken this evening. The second (center) screen came up after I selected Vehicle. Am I missing something?

Yes, on the left. The right steering wheel control is mostly for the MyLincoln Touch features.

Thanks to all for the info. I found it! Too bad it wasn't on the screen as posted by LeeB at first, as would be easier to find. Maybe later models had this feature? I may be trading in the car before I learn all of the features. I am looking at a new MKC or possibly an MKX, but after very reluctantly accepting a 4 cylinder engine (I am a V8 guy all my life), now I am more interested in the fuel economy of the 4 cylinder engine, as it has more than adequate power, especially in Sport. Actually it has adequate power when not in Sport. Ford's Ecoboost engines have really been an improvement.
