I have a 2.3 engine that runs rough and sputters on occasions. However not when I take it back to the dealership.
It idles rough (at times) and even dies. The dealers service dept. says its my fuel but I have filled up at two different stations and it still misses on both tanks of fuel. Anyone having engine problems like I've described?

Even after 10 tanks, if there is water in there it will be at the bottom.
I would try two, even three "doses" of a gas treatment, and try to fill the the car with non-ethanol gas for a few tanks if you can find it.
Around here it is often available but in Premium only. I absolutely have to use it for my boat.

I was having a problem also with my 2.3,it would start to shake and actually stall out at a signal light. I would have to keep my foot on the brake and give it gas to keep running. I just happen to be close to my dealer and pulled it in the service bay and it was actually doing it(how lucky was that). While I waited they claimed it was and bad sensor and they gave me a loaner. A week later they called and stated it was a Oil Pan Seperator, not a sensor. I had never heard of this, but it worked, It has not ran rough or stalled since.
