I can't see how an umbrella will fit,it is only about an inch wide.
We have an umbrella stored there. Works fine.

The "umbrella in the door feature" looks really neat.... until you realize the door needs to swing very wide and you have to step into the rain to draw the darned thing out. I'll take the Lincoln "umbrella by my side" idea instead.

i guess they just take it that people who own these might have drivers, so it's their driver that has to get wet
My husband is 6'2 and he complains the seat is too small.
My husbands new Chevy Volt has an umbrella hole in the pocket of the door, a much better design, IMO.The "umbrella in the door feature" looks really neat.... until you realize the door needs to swing very wide and you have to step into the rain to draw the darned thing out.
