According to statistics at goodcarbadcar.net the Lincoln MKC scored 1763 sales during the month of Sept. 2014 in the U.S., which puts it in 5th place in sales for the month within the "Small Luxury SUV" segment.
The top four "usual suspect" segment sales leaders for September were, in order, the Audi Q5, Acura RDX, Mercedes-Benz GLK and BMW X3.

It's interesting to see that the Q5 and GLK continue to have strong sales, despite the fact that both vehicles are due (overdue) for a complete overhaul - which is set to happen in m-y 2016 for the GLK and m-y 2017 for the Q5.
In 2nd place - actually 1st place overall when looking at YTD stats - the RDX also continues to have strong sales, despite the fact that it is missing several important luxury and latest tech features available on competing vehicles, particularly the MKC, which pretty much trumps the entire segment at this time for the largest amount of available gadgetry. It's understood the RDX will receive a significant mid-cycle refresh for m-y 2016, which I'm guessing will address all or most of its equipment/feature shortcomings.
It will be interesting to see how the MKC does sales-wise against all its competitor vehicles during the months ahead.
