Shifting harshness

Like quite a few other MKC owners I've experienced a harsh, shuddering and/or labored upshift between 2-3 and 3-4 gear positions. This hasn't been consistant that I've noticed as the radio is usually on and sometimes I think I hear the phony piped in manly engine sounds. The transmission harshness seems to be on downshifting as well. I'm going for an evaluation at the dealer and I'll report my findings now that I see I'm not imagining this situation.

Mine too and I brought it in last year but dealer said there's no problem and its normal. They did a "flash" of the software to try and fix it but it pretty much changed nothing. I will say that after they did it the shifting eventually evened out some (the transmission is adaptive and you have to do some regular driving for it to learn your driving style) but overall the 2015 at least is not nearly a smooth shifting car as my others. Just the way it is I believe. Our Cadillac was so smooth and I don't notice anything like that with my other work SUVs. I thought it was the the Eco-boost turbo but I have Eco boost on my truck and don't notice it. The mkc is my wife's and since I don't drive it all the time the jerky shifts stand out a little more to me. At this point my wife just said she got used to it.
