Is there anything new on the Sirius radio problem ?

I don't think so. I have a case number with Lincoln Corporate. They said they will call when the fix is available and I've received no call as of yet.
Sirius Radio Reception Problem

Have experienced the same reception problem since our purchase Dec 2014 of MKC.
Contacted Lincoln Dealer/Sales here in Las Vegas & they had not been informed of ongoing problems. Service Dept only knew Engineering was aware of problem & instructed them not to do any repairs.
Finally I was able to contact (Mar 31, 2015) Lincoln Customer Representative & get straight answers about Shark Fin Antennas, they are being modified to receive both broadcast signals for XM & Sirius. Estimate resolution is 45 to 60 days. I expect Lincoln will take the full 60 days. So maybe we'll see something by May 31, 2015.

It may be of interest that starting in around December I have been having SIRIUS reception problems on my 2013 Edge as well - I had no issue before this. I don't think this issue is related to the vehicle(s) but instead related to the service provider.

I called EXACTLY one month ago today and was also told 45-60 days to a resolution. Since you were told that today, I'm not counting on it being fixed before our free trial runs out.
Sirius Radio

I am also having a problem with the reception cutting out. I spoke with the Lincoln Concierge folks and two different dealers. All deny a general problem. Maybe the talk of class actions sent them to ground. Is there a TSB on this problem?

No; no TSB as of yet. Everyone that calls has been told 45-60 days before a "fix" is available.

The Lincoln Corporate rep that I spoke with insinuated that it was a general problem, but that a dealership would still need to verify before the fix would be applied.

I've never heard of any talk about a class action, but for a while they were offering anywhere from 1 yr. to replacements of lost months of your trial as compensation. Personally, I'd just like them to fix it so that we can tell whether or not we want to subscribe when our trial period ends.
Sirius Radio

i was told by my dealership that there was a fix coming for it (that was over 2 mths ago) i don't see it happening until they make the 2016 models. i have been having the issues since i picked up my car July 2014, i drive 10 miles to work in an open area and it cuts out no less than 10 times, i have never heard a song on satellite in its entirety unless i travel outside of a city
I contacted Lincoln Canada yesterday (April 28, 2015) and the response is as follows;

"We have received your email regarding the problem with the Sirius Satellite Radio We were just informed that there should be a fix by the end of next month for the issue with the Sirius Satellite Radio. "

So it remains to be seen if this is in fact true as I was told this before, the operative phrase here is "should be a fix". So I guess starting in May we all start harassing our dealers for the fix?
Lincoln called today- Sirius XM

Today my wife took a call from a Lincoln rep. The rep stated a new antenna will be available in 20 days.
This is the first positive news I've had since last year. Will update as news becomes available.
Yes, the Lincoln Rep I've been speaking with has given me a similar time frame for the fix.
Called Lincoln today and was informed the fix should be in 1-2 weeks from their April 28th memo. Service Rep explained that Sirius & xm combined services and run on different frequencies causing problems with the antennae. Also informed that some dealers have switched the antennas with the Ford Edge antennas with no resolution. When the fix does come, you will need a loaner vehicle.
I called our Lincoln corporate contact about another matter and he informed me that I should be hearing from him about the Sirius fix by the end of the month.
I have a case opened with Lincoln and have been waiting on this fix for months....Has anyone received a clear resolution date? I am sick and tired of getting day ranges!
Just so that I am clear about this post are we talking about issues with SiriusXM Traffic and SiriusXM Travel Link?

Cause I am wondering if I need to purchase both to have the real time traffic updates?

Well I noticed a few days ago my Sirius music randomly goes out while I'm out in the wide open. It randomly goes out from 5-10 seconds then comes back. Sometimes it continues to go in and out for a few minutes. My car was made in April so it appears they have not yet addressed this issue....GRRRrr

I have and have had the same issues- XM goes off and comes back since last year. Very annoying.
I plan to call Lincoln again at the end of the month. They told me 20 days and a fix would be had.

As it stands , lincon will have to give me a years free service for their Sirius radio inconvince they have caused me. That's provided they have it fixed.

I let my 6-month "free" subscription expire at the end of that timeframe...due to the sporadic in/out service. Purchased my MKC in Aug '14. The Traffic & Travel Link services are working with no issue, and are "free" for 5 years on the MKC. Maybe 6? Don't need SiriusXM Radio paid service to have the free Traffic & Travel Link services on the MKC.

The traffic and travel are paid for 6 years. The Sirius XM radio service is a 6-month trial. We received a notice from Sirius regarding our subscription for the MKC noting that we were "loyal subscribers" as we have the service in our Ford truck and in our home. Our plan is to let the 6-month period pass and see what "specials" are available to entice us to continue service in the MKC. That worked well for our truck.

BTW - we've had no unusual reception problems with our MKC to date, and that's good considering that we live in a forested, mountainous area where service can be intermittent.
I contacted Lincoln Canada again on this a few weeks ago. I asked how will customers be notified?
They said that Lincoln Customer Relations can contact customers directly once the fix is ready.
Well I just received the following email from Lincoln Canada:

"We have just received a new bulletin regarding the issue with the Sirius Radio in your 2015 Lincoln MKC. Please schedule an appointment at the dealership at your convenience and they will be able to do the repair. "

I just emailed my dealer and I am waiting for their response.

Finally!
