The Sirius sound quality in my 2017 MKC is just bad. It almost sounds like the sound is being played through a tunnel. Does anyone else notice this? I had a Mustang before this and it sounded the same. I get far better sound from the radio or my thumb drive. I have the THX option.

Did you adjust bass, tremble, mid and all that, turn off bass boost, etc?
IMHO, the only decent sound systems in cars today is B&O, the Bowers & Wilkins in Volvos is not too bad. The THX in the MKC, is fair, but I don't buy cars based upon the audio system either. But I do got to admit the THX Test sound you can do, does sound really cool, too bad that's the best sound the system can make.

Sirius sound basically sucks. It is the relative equivalent of listening to your Ipod at ~96kbps. Nothing will improve the output because the inputted signal is such low grade. Basically the higher the sound system quality, the poorer the Sirius experience becomes. Sounds just fine on a hand held transistor radio
Sirius/XM has been horrible in every vehicle (many) I've owned. It sounds way worse than FM. I would never pay a dime for that garbage.
