We went on vacation for two weeks leaving our Lincoln in the garage. Doors unlocked but all windows closed. On the 13th day we got an email saying the Lincoln put the car in "sleep" mode. That when we got home, all communication would be shut off and we would have to re-start the car using the start button on the dash.

When we got home, all four windows were fully open. Nothing happened when we approached the car indicating the sleep mode was in effect. We had to press the start button to start the car as the email told us too. The car started OK. I noticed there may have been some contacts not showing in our contact display. But otherwise, everything else seemed normal.

I'm really concerned about the windows though. If we had left the car outside, it would have been opened to the weather.

Can anyone explain this problem? Also, what is the purpose of the sleep mode?
