Tossed my clubs in the rear yesterday after completing a good round.
Pressed the closure button for the lift gate, it started to close, beeped and stopped. Tried a couple more times with same results.

I'm thk'g I'll have to make my first visit to the dealer with a problem when I remembered I left the key fob in the golf bag. Retrieved the fob, pressed the closure button and all is well.

Nice to have a vehicle that outthinks the driver now and then. Had same feature on a previous vehicle and had forgotten it's convenience.

Define 'good round":wink. I have had similar things happen to remind me to get the fob. You can always override the fob by using the keypad and hitting the bottom 2 at the same time, I do that occasionally when I leave the key in the car.

Please clarify "bottom 2"?
On the fob?

I use that feature as well when I have the dogs with me and make a quick stop at a mini-mart or inside ATM, etc. I can leave the car & A/C running on a hot day (parking brake on, of course!), but lock the key inside so the car doesn't have to be shut off and heat up inside. I always loved those keypads on Fords; don't know why it never caught on anywhere else. Nissan tried one on the Maxima years ago, but they were the only other manufacturer to do so, to my knowledge.

I agree, it is a gem of a feature.
