Maybe it was sensing the fob I guess, when nothing happened (10 min, or so) it shut down
Strange sound
I was sitting in MKC with the engine off waiting for the Gym to open & i hear this sound,almost like you hear when you are Raising the power seat,it lasted a bout 30 seconds & stopped.
Any idea what it is ????????????

The only thing I can think of is cycling the emergency brake. Every once and a while when I turn off my VW it will cycle the brake on and off. It sounds very similar to what you're describing.
