:nerdI know the text message from my phone welcoming me to my car is cool BUT is it possible to turn off if I do not wish to hear it every time I start my car?

Sounds like a phone sourced text which is not part of of the Sync OS. Must be in the phone settings.

don't know how or why i get welcoming text never got one on wife's mkz my phone is blackberry z10.
every time I start my mkc I get a welcoming text message read out loud to me welcoming me to my Lincoln.. I have had this car about 5-6 weeks only BUT I purchased a brand new 2015 select with tech package. :nerd

I have a Blackberry also. I don't get a text message however all of my appointments that are in my calendar or travel app display on the screen.

LOL haunted MKC'S abound!....that would drive me crazy, going through 8--10 start/stop cycles lol, no thanks!

Not really a big deal as you can hit the ignore button. It has also saved me from missing appointments or flights that were made so far in advance that it's east to forget.

She says it is part of blackberry assistant and can be turned on or off from most BlackBerry...I just felt nontechnical that I was not able to do this myself!!! :nerd
