As CUVs become more and more popular they are having to walk a fine line between being a compact and being a utility vehicle. The Lincoln MKC has an adequate amount of cargo space for most families, but it does come up short when compared to its competitors, like the Acura RDX, Audi Q5 and the BMW X3. Check out the MKC's cargo space and how it compares below.

The Lincoln MKC ends up with slightly less cargo space than the Escape, which shares the same platform. Still, the MKC can easily fit plenty of grocery bags, or a few golf club sets, or some strollers and suitcases.

With the liftgate closed and the back seats down the the MKC has 53.1 cubic feet of cargo space. This is less than most competitors. The Escape has 67.8 cubic feet of cargo space, the RDX has 61.3 cubic feet, the Q5 has 57.3 cubic feet, and the X3 has 56.5 cubic feet.

So it turns out that the MKC has a good amount of cargo space, but if cargo space is the most important thing that you are looking for in a CUV, you may want to consider some of the other models out there.

these are some great examples showing how useful it's cargo area can be.
for the most part i'm sure people are finding it to be sufficient, but the odd few might have to use a roof top carrier for extra stuff.
THey set themselves up for this critique when every vehicle you mention they compare to is significantly larger. Should compare to Q3, X1, Evoque, Disco sport, all the Asian compacts, Mercedes GLA, etc
