One of the features of the 2015 MKC is that you can utilize the 'new and enhanced' My Lincoln Mobile Smartphone App with it - for items such as remote start and vehicle health status. I haven't seen/read many posts in this forum regarding this feature. For those people who own an MKC... how has the app (and its interface with the vehicle) been working for you? All good? Any issues? Remote start working well? I'm just curious; I'm still researching /deciding on my next vehicle purchase (small-to-midsize luxury SUV) and have discovered that not all brands/models offer remote start. The MyLincoln mobile smartphone app seems like a great idea and feature to have.

I am happy with the Smartphone app. It is slow at times (for the remote start), but I think that is mostly dependent on how good my smartphone connection is at the time. I have only used the info section occasionally (fuel level/odo reading). The remote start works fine for me. That said, my approach on this has been: (1) if I am in a parking lot, I simply use the fob to remote start the car (I can start it from pretty far away with that); (2) the smartphone app remote-start is used if I'm in a building (e.g. restaurant) where it will likely take a few minutes to get to the vehicle anyway. So, whether the app takes 20 seconds or 2 minutes to work, it doesn't much matter. I do like it that it tells you when the car has started, giving you the message that is will shut off in 10 minutes if nothing else happens.
