I use the voice commands. They work great. I also use the controls on the steering wheel. I had a 2011 Explorer and was disappointed to discover they removed the climate controls from being adjusted from the steering wheel controls. They also limited the nav functions to only being able to cancel the route. You used to be able to select home and previous destinations.
