I called that ford order processing center, was transferred twice and ended right back at Lincoln Concierge with the same old info.
I'm sure once my vin is created things will go smoother.
I have evaluated build dates for Build Dates for VIN numbers I pulled off the dealer inventory search and estimate that production is approximately 150 units per day, or 750 per week based on 5 day work week. Latest MKC built yesterday (5/28) that I could find was 5LMCJ1A90FUJ03572. VINs appear to be built mostly sequentially, but not always.Tracking your MKC order
When you place your MKC order at the dealership, have them notify you when a VIN number has been assigned. After you have the VIN, you can use the following websites to check on vehicle status. I just received my VIN today so I will be looking at these daily.
Ford order Processing Center (not able to get any info yet)
1-888-207-1248 Then Dial 2 – 2 - 2
It's voice automated and pretty simple. You are supposed to be able to use your order number if you don't have your VIN yet, but there is an option to use your VIN. When you call it, you may need your dealer #, year of vehicle, order #, the car/body type (J1A for MKC), and I think that is all.
Get a build date: Once you have a VIN you can go here:
FordEtis home page http://www.etis.ford.com/home.do
· Click "Vehicle"
· Type in your VIN.
· A build date like 30.11.0002 ( day.month.year )means not yet built.

How to track shipping of your car if you have the ETTX number (the rail car number. Must get from the dealer after your MKC is built).
· Call CSX at 1-800-235-2352
· When prompted for location or weight, press "1" on your phone for location.
· When prompted for the car initials, say ETTX then wait for the next prompt. OR key in 32-81-81-92 (for ETTX)(letter and position on your phone)
· When prompted for the car number, say or key in your 6-digit ETTX car number
· When prompted for next car say DONE.
This info is all pulled from discussion forums. You can test some of these by looking at dealer inventory and copying a VIN from one of the dealer allocated vehicles.
Sometimes I feel like sales people that sold the car should deal with this and feed us the info.I called that ford order processing center, was transferred twice and ended right back at Lincoln Concierge with the same old info.I'm sure once my vin is created things will go smoother.
The dealer orders, meaning non-retail pre-orders where Concierge "tracks," should all show up in the "Dealer Inventory" at your dealer, accessed via their website, or the Lincoln MKC.com website. You will see your car there, and we that have pre-order status won't see ours in that system. I'm told by my dealer that is so other dealers don't try to trade a "sold" unit. We have to call the dealer. So check the inventory for your dealer.I'm frustrated because my dealer apparently didn't put my order in as a retail order but as a dealer stock order. So every time I talk w/ the concierge they have no record of a retail order for me.
I'm left waiting for the dealer to me told that a car is en route. I guess I won't be checking out manufacture dates, VIN #'s or any other fun stuff.
If the sales people were truly interested in providing great customer support, they would recognize those of us with this level of interest and provide us with these extra details.Sometimes I feel like sales people that sold the car should deal with this and feed us the info.

When did your order go in? Cars being built next week on 6/2 are showing in the inventory system as of today. Seems dealer inventory (non-pre-orders) are being built ahead of retail pre-orders.
I ordered mine on 3/31 as a pre-order and no sign of it. First indication will be that the dealer will know the build week. Mine is a 2.3 AWD with THX.
FYI...someone else on this forum in FL ordered (2.0 FWD) on 5/9 and dealer told the person build week is 6/9. Concierge won't/can't provide these dates (because things can change, per my Concierge). And it was a pre-order. So apparently no rhyme/reason, other than the impact of location and/or equipment.
Or you can check the Lincoln MKC site and just put in your zip code, and select local or extended inventory. Thanks!!!
I ordered not so long ago, on 5/6.
I'll keep checking the dealer's site. I guess it's good that they put in the order this way.
I ordered a Smoked Quartz 2.3 AWD with Select Group, Panoramic Roof, THX, and Select Group
Curious...what's the last 4 of your VIN? The expected build date should show in code at the top of the window sticker, which hopefully you should be able to access/print now.Just got my VIN today.
Checked the site and it's not yet built (30.11.0002)
I'll be checking a lot!!
First of all welcome to the site! Second I think the lack of press is because its viewed as just another Lincoln. Just you wait though this is the vehicle thats going to put lincoln back on the map!First time poster I've been following these forums for any and all info ( its sad the amount of press in regards to this beautiful vehicle, its almost non existant)
I called the Plano,Tx dealer yesterday and they said they have some in transit as we speak with about 50 total ordered,I'm hoping to find one in stock vs going the special order route we'll see. He estimated they would be here by next week .
I have had my VIN for about a week so I tried to use the Ford Processing Center phone number today to try and get a build date. I did not have the dealer number so I suspected I would have a problem. They transferred me to another Ford Customer support number and then I was transferred to the concierge. They gave me a build date of 6/9/14.Tracking your MKC order

I got my VIN from my dealer. I had to ask for it. The concierge said the info about VIN assignment and subsequent status' on my vehicle is supposed to get emailed to me but I never got anything.Marksm1- how did you get your VIN? My build date is next week too and I don't know if I should be expecting an email from Lincoln or contacting my dealer.
I was able to download my window sticker today( 6-3-2014)! About a week until build. Should be interesting to see how long it takes before it shows up in the ETIS system.I have had my VIN for about a week so I tried to use the Ford Processing Center phone number today to try and get a build date. I was transferred around but I think it was 800-301-5729. It was the Lincoln concierge service that ended up providing the info. The number for them is also on the Lincoln website.Congrats!!!
What phone # did you call to find out your build date?
