2017 MKC with only 22,000 miles. Growl coming from front. Local Ford dealer diagnosed defective bearings in transmission. Finally accepted the six yr warranty,Dealership has vehicle for 60 days, took 30 days to get into shop to diagnose, another 30 days waiting for a transmission exchange non available at this time!, no ETA available.Lincoln did provide a rental!

During the first year, had a heavy burnt smell while climbing a hill, dealership stated this was normal. Last teardown dealership indicated transmission fluid was normal.

May consider an Attorney or buy back program???

New cars too expensive. Lincoln still in shop, almost four months now!
if transmission under warranty and still have a vehicle loaner... if so-- put the miles on their loaner and be happy. I put nearly 3k miles on my loaner. it save on tire wear, brakes, oil, etc..

Detroit Called yesterday, working very hard to get dealership to expedite transmission replacement. Plenty of Ford Remanufatcures out there but they will not go that route??Almost half a year of warranty and registration burned up. I went through four concierges already. The transmission itself shifted great, just that growl at cruising speeds. When the SUV was new, it had a heavy burnt, plastic, rubber, oil and wiring smell when climbing a steep hill. Lots of excuses from the dealership. WWill keep the public informed!

Five months gone by, still no transmission. Detroit gave up and is now pushing for their buy-back program. If I don't accept their offer, it is time for legal help! Starting all over again is a Pain in the
A____!That MKC was just right for my wife and I. Been looking, nothing out there I like!
That's crazy! When I had my transmission replaced (17 AWD ~80K Miles), the whole thing took about a month, and 3 of that was waiting for the parts and they kept me in the looks every week. It sounds like you need another dealership or maybe the head of the dealership group (if they are a chain) to get involved.
Lincoln gave me a good buy back offer and I accepted it!
