Shut off your MKC & sit there & wait for 5 to 10 minutes & see if you hear sound like a motor running.
I can't tell what this is & do other MKC's make this sound.

We don't have that sound. We used to with our hybrid.

It's a fan used to cool the THX amp in the back by the spare tire.

I don't have a THX Amp.
No battery problems.
Just want to be safe.

Many cars will reposition a HVAC flap or something similar well after shutdown. You'll hear a motor running for a few seconds. This is entirely normal.

If you hear a motor running continuously or frequently, then you've got a problem.

I heard that noise the first time or two I drove the car and shut off the engine, I just figured it was part of the Active Noise Control, I have not paid any attention to it since then, but know it is there.
