I just used CYANLABS SYN3 UPDATER to successfully upgrade my 2018 MKC Reserve SYNC 3.4 19101 and everything seems to be functioning properly.
The first two times I started my car, the "Lincoln Presidential" splash screen appeared. Strangely -- and without my doing anything -- the regular "Lincoln" splash screen reappeared the third time I started my car. (Just curious... what is "Lincoln Presidential" anyways? I can't find any information about it online).
I thought I was not getting HD radio, so I performed a Master Reset twice. I am not sure that was necessary. Unlike SYNC 3.0, the HD radio logo only appears on the Home view so it may have been working all along.
The only other potential (but minor) issue is that when I have the clock set to automatically adjust for Daylight Savings Time, it resets itself to CST rather than EST. (I live in CT).
PSUNexus... You mentioned getting Google Maps turn by turn directions to display in the instrument cluster between your tachometer and speedometer. Is that with SYNC 3.4 19101 or another version? I still only have a compass display unless I am using the built in navigation.
I installed FORScan on m y laptop and bought an OBDLinkEX from Amazon. I would like to disable my horn honking three times when I get out of my running car with the keyfob in my pocket, and change my theme back to the Dark Brown/Black/White Lettering like SYNC 3.0. Anyone know how I can do that?
Thanks!
