USB ports not working

Picked up our mkc today and love it. However got home and tossed a iPhone Lightning cable in the car to charge phones with. Neither USB port seems to work any tips? Going back to deaker Monday to get the tint installed on the front windows so we can ask then if needed but would like to use it now if it is just disabled in a menu.

Have to ask...is the car running when you attempted this?

Have you tried a USB key? I tried one and it works fine. Maybe it does not support charging? Don't laugh I had that issue in a BMW :)
Turns out it was just the cable, weird cause the cable works fine on my laptop and in the other car it came out of. Also works fine in the MKC if used with a cig plug adapter. Used a different cable this morn and seems to work no issue which is great news because I didn't want dealer to remove a single panel on this car (they always seem to damage something).

To bad the sat radio still sucks... wish they would fix the cutting out already it is the most annoying thing ever.

I also have some lightning cables that work in some places, but not others. My Apple branded cables work everywhere. Some other brands I got to save some $$ are the culprits for me.

Do I need a new USB port? Mine worked but now says bad cable.
