Is the Vehicle Health Report part of Sync Services that requires subscription renewal?

Check Engine light came on today. In an effort to find out what's wrong before I take it to the dealer, I attempted to run a health report. Owner's manual (p. 415) says it's available through the touchscreen under information/apps/Vehicle Health report. Lincoln Owner website says it's under settings/vehicle/Vehicle Health Report. I can't find "Vehicle Health Report" under either of these locations (or anywhere else, for that matter). Pressing the voice command button and saying "Vehicle Health Report" is supposed to work, but doesn't. I ran the report successfully in November 2015, but all efforts today have failed. I didn't think it was part of (my now expired) Sync Services, but maybe it is and that explains why I can't access the report. Does anyone know for sure?

It's not part of the SYNC services. Log in to your online account, look for the 'Service & Maintenance " heading, an expanded drop down will open, look under 'maintenance' , and the vehicle health report will be the 3rd item...

I'm doing exactly that (except that the vehicle health report is the 5th, not the 3rd item under "maintenance"). The "Vehicle Health Report" page that comes up correctly shows my mobile phone number and has a green check mark with "Ready to Run. You are now ready to run the report from your vehicle" (correctly indicating that I'm set up to run these reports and the phone has been paired). There is link to how to run the report, which states:

1. Turn your vehicle on and put it in Park, not Accessory mode.
2. Run your vehicle for at least one minute before you run the report. (You will need to continually run your the vehicle during the collection and sending of vehicle information as well.)
3. Press or pull the Voice button and say, "Vehicle Health Report." The report will run automatically.
4. A "Collecting vehicle data" message appears on the 8-inch touchscreen.
5. When the vehicle information has been sent, SYNC displays, "Vehicle Health Report submitted successfully."
Your report will be available in your SYNC Owner account within a few minutes of running your report.

The problem is that at step 3 above, I can't access the health report through the touch screen, neither through a voice command nor through settings. What am I doing wrong??

here is a link I found...see if this works. I believe it is correct.

https://owner.lincoln.com/content/l...ng-a-vehicle-health-report-through-email.html
Yep, reviewed the above webpage before I sent the original post.

I believe that obtaining the health report involves the following steps:

1. Set up vehicle and cell phone information through the owner website.
2. Generate the health report data through the touch screen in the vehicle. The SYNC software performs a systems check and sends the resulting info to a Ford server via the car's modem and owner's cell phone.
3. Ford server generates the report and sends it to the owner's email account (if set up in step 1) and makes it available through the owner website.

I don't think the health report is available without going through in-car process in step 2. My problem is that the health report option is not available on the car's touchscreen.

2015 MSM, could you (or someone with a 2015 MKC and MyLincoln Touch) verify that you can run the report? I wonder if it's been deleted. Or maybe deleted only for me by virtue of a replaced APIM, replaced modem, and a SYNC software update.

Took the car into the dealer. In addition to the check engine light and missing vehicle health report, I also couldn't start the car from the key fob or start/lock/unlock it from the app.

Check engine light was determined to be due to faulty fuel canister purge valve, which was replaced. Dealer updated the SYNC software from 3.8 to 3.10 but told me the latest update deleted the health report.

That seemed odd since the health report is still referenced on the Lincoln Owner website with no mention of its demise. I called the Concierge service. The rep accessed my vehicle info in OASIS. He said the problem was that, while the dealer had installed the SYNC operating system update, they had not installed the vehicle health report app.

I called the dealer and sent an email to the service manager with the info from the concierge rep. Eventually, the dealer figured it out and everything is installed and working. Took several days to get everything straightened out.

Some of the SYNC functions, like 911 assist, the health report, Lincoln logo graphics, and maybe some others, aren't part the the operating system--they're in separate programs or apps. So if you're missing a function, it might be an app has crashed or was never installed to begin with.

I stopped by the dealer to pick up some winter mats and asked them about not being able to run a Vehicle Health Report. After some research, they got back and said that my vehicle does not have a modem, so it is not available. Not sure when they stopped putting the modem in, but it at the very least started with the 2017 model year.

The modem is not included on all models of MKC, regardless of model year. I believe you need to have the technology package.

I would get another opinion; I don't believe you need the modem in the vehicle to run a VHR. My old 2011 MKZ use to run VHRs and that vehicle didn't have a modem. It was before Sync 2 or MyLincolnTouch. It had the old pre-2013 MKZ interface.
