Virtual MKC Test Ride

Lincoln is trying to facilitate more people getting a ride in the MKC, even if that means having a virtual test ride instead of a real one.

“It’s designed to be a virtual test drive. The video demonstrates features like enhanced park assist (park out) and Lincoln Drive Control from a first person point of view,” explains Rachel Roe, Lincoln Communications. The virtual experience is personalized by gender and features the musical track “Vasoline” by the rock band Stone Temple Pilots. The user can experience the virtual test drive via a laptop, tablet, or mobile device.
You get driven around by actor Sam Page on the streets of LA. Its a cool idea that gives you a nice look inside the MKC. Definitely worth the time especially if you don't really have a Lincoln dealer close by to set up a test drive with.

I saw this on the Lincoln web site and was impressed how that guy was able to borrow my wallet. It's a fun way to show some of the features of the MKC.

I love how they're promoting the MKZ, sure beats just having commercials and all the typical marketing methods.

I think its a good idea. I did the whole thing and thought it was both fun and gave a pretty casual look at the MKC. As far as marketing and advertising goes, I would think its one of the most innovative and interesting things I see happening right now.

Doesn't really come close to seeing the MKC in real life though.

Good to hear from someone that got to experience it.
It definitely helps to actually see the MKC, but anything helps and this sure does
I remember the first time I saw MKC in person, the photos were gorgeous but walking up to it touching it seeing the lines with depth changes everything. Visually you can almost tell its chunkier than the escape, it wears the proportions really well IMO...

I view the virtual thing as similar sure its cool, but you know whats really cool.... driving one...
