I will have my vehicle this week and will know more soon, but for now:Found it today so I assume that we'll at least have Lincoln Remote Access.
I actually do consider it a Ford/Lincoln issue. Shows that Lincoln Canada doesn't care about negotiating a similar deal. Not a Ford/ Lincoln issue,

Sorry if I was unclear.
The Sirius Travel and Trip Service is not available for Any Automobile Manufacturer in Canada.
Maybe with a US address or credit card, one could get a Sirius US subscription and receive the extra stations and service? ( probably wrong place to post this)
Takes 24 hours as stated, but it does workFound it today so I assume that we'll at least have Lincoln Remote Access.
coming from a wide range of vehicles from low tech to high tech, i have to say that these are some awesome features to have, it makes the whole experience that much better. The app does take 24 hours to link up to your vehicle. I have a 2015 Canadian MKC 2.3L Reserve
The app allows you to:
- See the location of the app on a google maps interface ( it is very accurate)
- Lock the doors
- Unlock the doors
- Start the vehicle
- Schedule vehicle starts
- See the mileage
- See how much gas is in the vehicle.
I tested this on the Cellular network and the WIFI network and it works. It is not the fastest but it does work. One note is that when you first launch the app it will tell you the status but you have to check the date and time of the last status as it does not update the status until you click the update status button OR it does it on some random schedule.
Have you had the TSB done to fix the Sirius drop outs? I did not really have a problem, but had it done since it was free and I may travel to a place where I do have that problem. And By law we get daylight running lights here....Sirius well not so good, keeps loosing signal and blanking out....not impressed when it's time to renew this April I'll tell them No thanks! with this said, my Sirius in my 2011 Mustang GTCS works good and use it the most...I hate being bombarded by advertising every 3 songs for 5 minutes!....but they are pricing themselves out....
You may want to warn the service folks up front on the Sirius fix. It is a long one. There is quite a parts list, then after getting the parts, they have to paint the antenna to match to your car. From what I was told by the service tech, the installation itself is a nightmare. You may want to ask if tey have done one yet and then be prepared if you are the first! I suspect that is why they waited so long to come up with the fix. It weeded out the people who had no intention of renewing their Sirius. The ones who had it done are the people who actually use Sirius.Got a small list of "Needs attention" to give my dealer when I go in for an oil change this coming week....it's an hour drive there and back and so I want to combine a general "repair these items please " list for them.....
Ironically, The Sirius in my Mustang never had a single hickup since new....that was since 2011 now we are in 2016 and the system just sucks in the MKC as far as Sirius is concerned....
Sign of the times:
1 day after I took possession of my MKC I get a call from Sirius, first off going on congrats on the new purchase and so forth...then she switches gears and says to me, well sir we have a promotional deal.....I stopped her right there, 'scuse me miss, but it's a little too early to be talking to me about any promotional ANYTHING....I have 6 months to field test the system before I commit to a subscription.....like REALLY!!!!!
