I would say high 20s for highway. The base 2.0L will probably have very similar numbers to the Escape.

The 2.3L is harder to say but I think it should still be very good mileage.

Does the Escape have the same engine as the MKC? Would you include the GLA in this segment? The GLA gets 33.1 mpg. So it would be far behind what Benz is doing.

The GLA also comes with a 2.0L so it is definitely comparable.

The GLA uses the 2.0-liter turbo four that’s found in the CLA250, which produces 208 horsepower at 5500 rpm and 258 lb-ft of torque from 1200 revs.

Are you sure it gets 33mpg?

I'd love to pull up the Ford Escape highway mileage but the www.fueleconomy.gov website is not loading at all for me because my internet is amazing.

Is it really? I'd imagine the GLA being a Mercedes is going to be pricey.

The GLA seems like it contends directly with something like the MKC.
